Funny Kids!!

Kids say the funniest things!!

I was cleaning house the other day. Tyler was at school, Brandon, being the good BIG brother that he is, was playing with Kara and Emily in their bedroom. I was thrilled that they were actually staying in one room and just keeping themselves "busy." I had a big garbage bag of clothes sitting in the corner and they had torn the bag open and were playing with the clothes. I went in and helped them clean the clothes up off the floor so I could vacuum. As we picked them up, I asked Brandon not to get into the bag again and to call me if he saw the girls get into the bag as well. As serious as could be, he looked at me and said, "Mom, I do not even have a cell phone, how could I call you?" I just had to laugh--he is so funny!

Kara went in to go to the bathroom and shut the door, she called me in to help her finish her business and I complimented her on shutting the door. We have been having problems with Emily going in with her and "helping" her out in the toilet. Emily LOVES playing in the toilet--YUCK!! Kara said, "Yes Mom, I shut the door so Emily or the 'monsters' wouldn't come in." Kara has been into talking about monsters lately. I have no idea where she got her little idea about them but she is always talking about them. She then came out and wanted to draw a picture. She got her "PINK" notebook and a pen and went in her bedroom to draw a picture at their table. Her pen obviously was old and dried out. She came to me and said, "Mom, do have any batteries?" I then asked her what she needed batteries for, thinking there was a toy that ran out. She said, "My pen doesn't work, it needs new batteries." Wouldn't it be nice if 'batteries' solved all of our problems of things 'not working?'

Kamden also loves the toilet, last week he dipped his poptart in the toilet and ate a few bites before I'd realized what he'd done!
