Birthday FUN.....

Monday was my birthday and it was a GREAT day!!Troy was able to come home early from work and do some paperwork and make some phone calls from here at home!! It was fun having him here--even though he was locked back in our bedroom for most of the time so it was quiet while he was getting his work done!! We 'splurged' and went to McDonald's for lunch (good ole Dollar Menu)--FUN times!! Hopefully within the next couple of weeks we will go out 'for real!' It was fun even though their food is NOT our favorite!! We also got some free movies with our Redbox code---always a hit with the kids!! Then I ran a few errands I needed to get done--very NICE because I could leave the kids in the car with Troy!! VERY HANDY!!

We came home and I put the kids down for a nap--Tyler was at school. I continued my laundry!! Yes, I did laundry on my birthday--no big deal--I took the weekend off so I had NO choice!! It was raining off and on--but Troy got the lawn mowed!! This was the first time this year!!!

Kara loved following behind!

Brandon swept the cement off--what a helper!!

Yup, still following!! Funny girl in her sunglasses!!

Was just told to stay on the cement--she's obviously NOT thrilled!!

She can be CUTE when she wants to be!!

Looks BEAUTIFUL!! Thanks HONEY!!!

I made a cake, rice crispy treats, and some Stove Top Stuffing and we headed over to dinner at Mom and Dad's!! Scott, Carol, and Megan were there, Diane and her kids, John Swanders, and Mike and John Carroll were there!! Mom put on the entire dinner on her own--it was VERY YUMMY!! Ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls, corn, green salad, and stuffing--and then of course cake, cookies, rice crispies, and ice cream for dessert!! Oh, it was sooo delicious!! Thanks again Mom and Dad for having us over!

Brooke had her first little taste of mashed potatoes---funny girl!! She ate them, but had a funny reaction!! No offense Grandma---they were YUMMY!! Grandma had a cute little, (well it actually wasn't soooo little) candy bowl, that Emily would NOT leave alone!! She kept going to Grandpa because she knew he would give her more--I told her no--so she kept going to Grandma and Grandpa---nice little move!! She is quite the candy eater!! I couldn't complain too much--she did eat a big plate of ham, mashed potatoes, roll, and corn!! She is quite the eater!!

The kids went outside and played after they ate-it actually was a pretty nice day!! Then everyone had to sing to me--it was GREAT!! The kids were a little more excited than I was--but that is pretty typical!! I did not have to worry about blowing out the candles---I 'had' it done for me!!! :)

It was a great evening spent with Family!! It was really cute, when Tyler got off the bus he came running up to me and said, "Mom, how has your day been?" I really do have GREAT kids!! I am truly blessed to have such an AMAZING family!! I LOVE them very much!!
