Friday night--we did the whole lawn mowing event that was in the earlier post!! That was 'loads' of fun!! Saturday morning we got up and I made French Toast for breakfast---then the kids ALL went outside. Tyler ended up over at the neighbors for most of the day---he LOVES playing over there. They really are GREAT people and they have 2 boys that he enjoys playing with. Troy and Brandon got this bright idea to wash the Excursion for Mother's Day---I was thrilled---Troy knows how I LOVE a CLEAN car!!! Emily was exhausted after getting up at 6, so she took a nap as Troy, Brandon, and I washed the car. Kara was having some issues--so she was out there--but really didn't participate!!
Then we just chilled for awhile--everyone took naps and Troy and I just had a Mt. Dew and chatted---with no kids coming in and joining in---that was actually quite FUN!! Then he tiled my flower garden----YEAH---now time to get flowers and plant!! The kids are oh soooo excited---so am I because I HATE having weeds there!! Thanks Dad for letting us borrow your rototiller---you guys are the BEST!! Then we headed over to Scott and Carol's and had a little get together!! Pizza, salad, and chips--super yummy!! Fun to just visit and hang out together as a family!!!
Grandma of course played outside with the kids and kept them entertained!! She played soccer and T-ball with the boys!! She got right into the action!! Megan also did--she always does a great job and keeping the kids busy and out of trouble---that is NOT an easy job--I KNOW!!! Kara LOVES going to Megan's she plays with her babies and Megan paints her finger and toe nails---Kara is in HEAVEN!! The food was great and then we just visited---very NICE!! Thanks Kaskel's for having us over!!!
Sunday morning was great---Emily actually slept in until 7----Yippeee!! She couldn't have given me a better gift!! It was oh soooo nice--Troy did not have to go to early meetings--so that make the morning so much more relaxing--it was nice to have his extra set of hands!! We had yummy wheat pancakes for breakfast--oh, but first Tyler gave me his present he made for me!! He came home Friday from school and said he needed to hide something from me so told me he put it in the hall closet---what a FUNNY boy!! Then Friday night he came up to me and gave me a hug and asked if I would like to open my present then!! He was sooo excited to give it to me!! I love that kid---he is sooo CUTE!! I told him I would wait--silly boy!! He gave me a BEAUTIFUL & PRECIOUS book he MADE---I LOVE IT!!
Then we got all ready and took a few fun, crazy photos before we headed to church!! Troy and I really are blessed to have 5 beautiful and healthy children!!!
We came home from church and put on a quick little BBQ before Robert had to head back to Utah and Dad had to head off to Seattle!! It was fun to spend that hour together and visit!! I LOVE my family and enjoy that we live close enough to see them often. I had a bunch of things prepared because we had invited Lynn and Debbie over after church, but they were unable to come because Ammon was calling at that time---so I had all the food out and prepared--so Mom, Dad, and Robert were nice enough to come at the last minute and help us eat it!! Thanks again, Robert for taking charge and grilling the salmon!! You are a 'true' chef!!!
I really had a MARVELOUS Mother's Day!! It was fun to just be with my FAMILY--that I LOVE very much!! I truly am blessed to have the BEST Mother and to be MOTHER to the BEST five kids EVER!!! I am one LUCKY girl!!
