Mom's "HOMEWORK"

Tyler got off the bus Friday and came in and emptied out his backpack and was showing me his work for the day!! He loves to come home and do that right away, so I just plan on that little time with him. He is FUNNY!! He did not have homework so we looked through his papers he had done that day and then he had some notes from his teacher. His school collects Box Tops, like most do, so we have been collecting them at home. For the month of January, they gave us a sheet with stockings on it to glue the box tops to, Tyler had glued them all on and had it filled up. I gave it to him to put it in his homework folder to take to his teacher. He got a new one for the month of February and we had enough saved up we could fill it up. He went off and began playing with Brandon and I decided I would just get the Box Tops glued on to get them off my counter.

About 15 minutes later as he went running through the kitchen and I was making dinner, I asked him to put the paper that I had just glued the Box Tops to, in his homework folder and in his backpack so he would be ready for Monday morning. He grabbed the paper from me and exclaimed, "Wow Mom, you are really fast at doing my homework, why don't you do it everyday for me?" I laughed and explained to him that wasn't really 'homework' and explained to him what homework was. Then we talked about why I couldn't do his homework, because he needs the extra practice on the skills they are learning in class. He looked at me and said, "Ya that is true, but if you could do my homework, you do it WAY FAST!!"
