Donuts with Dad

Today was "Donuts with Dad" at Tyler's School. They have this just once a year and have donuts for the kids and their dads. There were books to read, games to play, and prizes to win--Tyler and Troy did not win anything--maybe next time!!

Tyler had to get up at 6:50 and get ready for school--he was very tired. I reminded him that he was going early to go to 'Donuts with Dad' and he got more excited. He then asked if he could ride the bus to school and I explained to him that he would ride to school with Troy because he had to get there early. He became very irritated at me and told me he would rather ride the bus!! He then looked at me very seriously and said, "Fine, but I AM riding the bus home!" He Love the BUS!! Hopefully his 'love for the bus' continues into High School!! :)

He ate a quick bowl of oatmeal and before they headed out the door he came to me and said, "Mom, do I even get a donut?" I asked what he meant and he said, "Well, it is Donuts for Dad, is he even going to share with me?" I laughed and told him it was 'Donuts WITH Dad'--not FOR Dad!! Tyler is such a FUNNY kid and quite the THINKER!!!

Tyler had a great time showing Troy his school, classroom, and playground. This was Troy's first time out there--so Tyler was VERY excited to show him all around!!
