Kara came into the kitchen while I was making lunch today and she said, "Mom, can I PLLEEASE have a sucker?" I said, "No candy until after you eat lunch." She looked at me very seriously and said, "That's why I asked for a sucker, not candy!" I then tried to explain to her that a sucker is candy and she looked at me and said, "Actually Mom, a sucker is a sucker, and candy is candy!" Isn't it great to be taught the facts of life by your three year old?!
