TeRrIbLe TWO'S!

So here is my day today with Emily, remind you, she is now 19 1/2 months old!! She has been on this kick of getting undressed when I put her into bed--pants, shoes, & socks-WHATTA PAIN!! Today I thought I would outsmart her, I put overalls on her!! I went in to get her from her nap and her shoes were thrown in the middle of the floor--but I expected that. She had her overalls off her legs and around her neck!! She was irritated she could not get them all the way off, but she knew better than to scream. Then I was feeding Brooke and could not find Emily, I found her trying on my tennis shoes--she had them on and tried running from me, but became very mad that she could not move very fast. She went straight from my shoes to going to work on the computer!! She loves to either climb on the kitchen table or the computer table. Oh, how she is a busy girl that we LOVE!!

I was in the bedroom folding laundry and all of a sudden I heard Brooke cry out with a blood curdling scream--not just please come get me--I could tell she got hurt!! I ran into the living room and this is what I found. Kara was rubbing her head, but too scared to cry because she knew Brooke hurt. Kara and Brooke obviously bumped heads and Brooke got the brunt of it!! OUCH!!!! She was very sad--so we snuggled!!

BASEBALL or SOCCER?

Tyler brought home a flier in his homework folder announcing the deadlines for Soccer and T-Ball/Coach Pitch. I asked him if he would like to participate in one and which one he would think he would like better. It was quiet for a minute and I could see him thinking. He then said, "I want to be in Baseball, because on the Wii I kept hitting the ball 'out of the park!'" His cousins got a Wii for Christmas and he had fun playing it with them. He then ran off and played for several minutes and then came running back to me and said, "I do not want to be the coach, just sign me up to play!" We both agreed that would probably be the best!! Luckily he quickly went on his way out of the room to play so I sat there and laughed!

ROUGH day!!

Here is Emily ten minutes into lunch! She had the inside to herself this morning because the 'big' kids were outside in the snow!! She had a BLAST!! Obviously, she wore herself OUT, but enjoyed being her own boss for a few hours!!!

Let it SNOW!!

Yes, it snowed once again so OUT came the SNOW clothes again--LOVELY!! The kids spent a couple of hours this morning outside playing while I shoveled the cement!! They LOVE playing outside!! Kara is always the first one to come in because it is too cold, Brandon follows about 30 minites later, and Tyler has to be asked to come in--he would stay out there ALL day!! We still have not gotten our snowman built for the year--I really need to find some boots and then I think I would be a little more ambitious to get out there!

BROOKE ~ 12 Weeks!!

Here are a few fun pictures I took of Brooke this morning!! She is now 12 weeks old and such a JOY to have in our family!! She has a fun personality and loves the attention she receives from her siblings. She has been sleeping through the night for the last month--YEAH!!! She has been smiling for the last several weeks!! She still loves her baths, but HATES to get her diaper changed--even though she WANTS it done if it is needed! She LOVES LOVES LOVES to be snuggled in the upright position!! She is my first baby to actually take a pacifier--Tyler, Kara, and Emily sucked their thumb and Brandon sucked his two fingers!! She loves to sit in the vibrator/bouncy chair but she does not care if it is on--she just wants to be bounced up and down--good invention for someone out their looking for work!! Tyler, Brandon, and Kara would LOVE you forever if you invented a chair that did that so they wouldn't have to!! Brooke is growing like crazy and just the other Thompson children--she has a mind of her own!!

Kara & Emily are the only ones who went to church with Dad Sunday!! I stayed home with Tyler, Brandon, and Brooke who had a touch of the flu!! Kara and Emily LOVE wearing their BLACK boots!! I got them both dressed and Kara asked if I would take a picture of their boots!! I just laughed!! What CUTE girls I have!! Notice their CUTE smiles--these were done 'BEFORE' church!!

Kara definitely needs a hair style!! She can be dang cute, but she can look mighty goofy if she does not have her hair done!! We were at Grandma's this last weekend and Jessica did Kara's hair in 2 pony tails--Kara LOVED it!! Amber spent the night with us Friday night and Saturday morning, Kara asked Amber if she would pony tails in her hair!! Honestly, Kara does very well to sit still to do her hair!! (Much better than wiggle worm Emily!) Pretty sad, she is almost three and just barely enough hair for 2 pony tails!!

New Years Day!!

Wow!! I can not believe it is already 2009!! Times flies by!! We had a great 2008 and hope to have an even better 2009!! We truly are blessed and are very thankful for all of our BLESSINGS!!

Our family went over to Grandma & Grandpa Brinkerhoff's House for the afternoon/evening. Robert and his kids were there and John and Diane and their kids were in and out. Carol and Scott came over in the evening and we all just hung out as a family.

We pretty much just played and visited all day. The kids, well actually, even the adults, enjoyed playing the Wii. Yes, Grandpa even bowled a game--we have it on video for those who do not believe me! Then the kids played with games, puzzles, and everything else out of Grandma's 'magical' toy closet!! We of course ate a very YUMMY dinner--ham, mashed potatoes, beans, and rolls!! Grandma ALWAYS makes sure NO ONE goes hungry!! It was a great day and I am very thankful that we could spend it with those we LOVE!!
